Middle Grade Mondays: Harbor Me

This book follows 5th grader Haley as she struggles with the unknown.

When her class of "special" kids gets moved to a new room (for talking, not learning) everyone is kind of shocked. Throught he school year, Haley and her classmates become close friends. While this book was slightly hard to follow, I thought it was a nice short read that touched on important topics. And, since this is a fairly new book, it was current in pop culture and news. You will like this book because it's charming and heavy at the same time
