FINALLY! PumpkinHeads

Updated: Mar 1, 2020

PUMPKIN HEADS: RAINBOW ROWELL

Pumpkin Heads is the delightfully charming graphic novel set in an equally delightful and charming pumpkin patch. It’s Josiah and Daja’s last night working at the town Pumpkin Patch. Daja and Josiah have worked there since their freshman year, and now that they are graduating, they won’t be working there anymore. This means one thing: help Josiah get the girl.

She goes by many nicknames: the fudge girl, vanessa fuggenes, superfudge. But her real name is Marcy, and Josiah has been crushing on her for four years. And every year, Daja has tried to get Josiah to finally make his move, and every time, she fails. But this year, Daja says, no more! So, Josiah and Daja go on an elaborate mission (mostly composed of vengeance and eating fall-themed foods) to finally get Josie to, make. his. move.

Pumpkin heads is an adorable novel perfect for reading in a comfy sweater on a lazy fall afternoon. I happen to be a fangirl of Rainbow Rowell, so when I found out she and Faith Erin Hicks wrote a witty graphic novel, I waitlisted that right away. When I finally go to read it, I loved the whole vibe of the book, and it helped me escape into the charming world of Daja and Josiah and the pumpkin patch.

Rowell and Hicks knocked it out of the park!

4.5/5!
